CBC cuts Calgary Newsworld but adds Alberta jobs (Calgary Sun)

CBC News is closing the Calgary unit of its Newsworld channel as of next month. The public broadcaster announced yesterday the two hours of Newsworld programming currently being produced from Calgary will shift to Toronto.

According to one news report this morning: "British Muslim terror gang drew up a list of targets with “limitless ambition”, a jury heard today. Woolwich crown court was told one of eight men accused of plotting to bomb transatlantic jets had information about Canary Wharf, Heathrow’s control tower and other airports."
